THE NEXT GENERATION AWAKENS...

The newest Nixon digital watch has dropped and embodies some very unique attributes just like the beloved spherical Astromech droid it celebrates.

Already Been Chewed partnered with Nixon and Lucasfilm to create a video spot to launch the latest product inspired by BB-8, a key player amidst the next generation of characters in the new Star Wars Trilogy.

BB-8 is an advanced and loyal machine that offers up a whole new plethora of tools, stores key information throughout The Force Awakens and paves the way for future films. Similarly, Nixon's most recent addition to the Nixon x Star Wars Collection takes on new digital form as opposed to prior analog collaborations.

The ABC team managed the entirety of the project, including creating the concept, producing the motion graphics and delivering a dynamic story-driven spot on time and on budget.

Throughout the video spot, countless details hail BB-8 including various panels and pieces that come together to form the spherical shape. Shooting cables and grappling hooks eject to stabilize the machine, harkening back to the bumpy ride BB-8 took in the Millenium Falcon. Even the sound design and texturing of the panels are reminiscent of the trusted droid's quirky personality, orange equipment bays and endless supply of new gadgets.
